I also wanted to share a little peek at one of my favourite makes this year! These quilted runners were created completely from scratch, with each fabric section pieced together and quilted by hand. Definitely one of those projects that made me fall in love with sewing even more.

I love sharing projects like this because sewing opens the door to sew much creativity and confidence. What starts with learning a new skill can grow into designing and creating completely unique projects of your own. And getting to help students discover that is one of my favourite parts of teaching.

It is really amazing how each student grows in their sewing skills. After each project is completed you can see the joy and sense of accomplishment as they think to themselves "I just made this". I have to say I am really proud of them too. They all do an amazing job and I am so excited to share it with you here.
