CLASS DISCRIPTION

If you are looking for a chance for your child or teen to learn an amazing skill screen free where they can express their creativity, we'd love to help with that. Whether your child has never touched a sewing machine before or they've already completed a few projects, our weekly sewing classes are designed to help every student grow at their own pace. Many students are excited to learn but feel nervous about using a sewing machine. Our supportive, step by step curriculum helps take the fear out of sewing and replaces it with confidence. Before long, students are creating projects they never thought possible! With a maximum of just four students per class, everyone receives plenty of individual guidance and encouragement from our instructor. Students work through the Kids Can Sew© curriculum at the level that best fits their current skills. There is no pressure to keep up with anyone else as each student progresses at their own pace while building a strong foundation of sewing techniques. Throughout the year, students will complete a variety of exciting projects depending on which level they are at. In completing these projects students will learn machine operation, sewing safety, reading patterns, fabric selection, construction techniques, problem solving, and creative design skills while gaining independence, and confidence. Our goal is to help students develop confidence, creativity, problem solving skills and a lifelong love of sewing in a fun and encouraging environment.
